The blog about everything I love
The Oculus Quest will support ALL Go & Gear VR games, and are supporting around 70 of them to start, but will add more as time goes on. The official Oculus list is HERE, and will be updated with more as needed. Since Gear VR is discontinued, this will allow people to easily back track to their older games, and play them on Quest. Here is how you download your old Go/Gear content
1) Select Library from the toolbar 2) Make sure that your apps are compatible, if they are, you will see a drop down list about the Library heading. 3) Select Go/Gear VR from the device drop-down 4) Select Not installed 5) Choose the app you want and select Install This is going to really get people onto Quest, especially since they know that they don't have to buy their favorite games again, and they can play the games that they love. You can also purchase and download apps from the list to use on Quest. The apps will work through an emulator, and is not directly from the Quest. The best part? If you're a Quest owner and you purchased a Go/Gear app before September 25th, 2019, you can get a Quest version for free. HOWEVER, this will only run until December 31st, 2019. The list of apps that are upgradeable can be found on the Oculus site that I previously mentioned. Just go onto any of the apps that you purchased for the Go/Gear, in the Quest section, and click the blue button that says free. If you bought a Go/Gear app and the Quest version, you will get Oculus store credit automatically. Nobody gets ripped off! Thank you so much for reading my article! Hope you have a wonderful day! ~BlueJ
